News That Jesus Has Risen From Death (Mk. 16:1-8; Lk. 24:1-12; Jn. 20:1-10)1The day after the Sabbath* day was the first day of the week. That day at dawn Mary Magdalene and the other woman named Mary went to look at the tomb*. 2Suddenly an angel of the Lord came from the sky, and there was a huge earthquake. The angel went to the tomb and rolled the stone away from the entrance. Then he sat on top of the stone. 3The angel was shining as bright as lightning. His clothes were as white as snow. 4The soldiers guarding the tomb were very afraid of the angel. They shook with fear and then became like dead men. 5The angel said to the women, “Don’t be afraid. I know you are looking for Jesus, the one who was killed on the cross. 6But he is not here. He has risen from death, as he said he would. Come and see the place where his body was. 7And go quickly and tell his followers, ‘Jesus has risen from death. He is going into Galilee and will be there before you. You will see him there.’” Then the angel said, “Now I have told you.” 8So the women left the tomb quickly. They were afraid, but they were also very happy. They ran to tell his followers what happened. 9Suddenly, Jesus was there in front of them. He said, “Hello!” The women went to him and, holding on to his feet, worshiped him. 10Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Go tell my followers* to go to Galilee. They will see me there.”
Report to the Jewish Leaders 11The women went to tell the followers. At the same time, some of the soldiers who were guarding the tomb* went into the city. They went to tell the leading priests everything that happened. 12Then the priests met with the older Jewish leaders and made a plan. They paid the soldiers a lot of money 13and said to them, “Tell the people that Jesus’ followers came during the night and stole the body while you were sleeping. 14If the governor hears about this, we will talk to him and keep you out of trouble.” 15So the soldiers kept the money and obeyed the priests. And that story is still spread among the Jews even today.
Jesus Talks to His Followers (Mk. 16:14-18; Lk. 24:36-49; Jn. 20:19-23; Acts 1:6-8) 16The eleven followers went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus told them to go. 17On the mountain the followers saw Jesus. They worshiped him. But some of the followers did not believe that it was really Jesus. 18So he came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth is given to me. 19So go and make followers of all people in the world. Baptize* them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit*. 20Teach them to obey everything that I have told you to do. You can be sure that I will be with you always. I will continue with you until the end of time.” |

예수께서 죽음에서 살아나셨다는 소식 (막 16:1-8; 눅 24:1-12; 요 20:1-10) 1안식일* 다음 날, 곧 주간의 첫날 동틀 무렵에 막달라의 마리아와 다른 마리아가 무덤을 보러 갔다. 2그때에 땅이 아주 심하게 흔들리고, 주의 천사가 하늘에서 내려왔다. 천사는 무덤으로 가서 문을 막고 있는 돌을 굴려 내고, 그 돌 위에 앉았다. 3천사의 얼굴은 번개와 같이 밝은 빛이 나고, 그의 옷은 눈처럼 희었다. 4무덤을 지키던 군인들은 이런 천사의 모습을 보고는, 겁에 질려 떨다가 정신을 잃어 마치 죽은 사람처럼 되었다. 5천사가 여자들에게 말하였다. “두려워하지 말아라. 너희가 십자가에 달려 죽은 예수를 찾고 있는 것을 알고 있다. 6그러나 그 예수는 여기에 없다. 그분께서 미리 말씀하신 대로 그분은 죽음에서 다시 살아나셨다. 와서 그분의 주검이 있던 자리를 보아라. 7그리고 빨리 가서 그분의 제자들에게 알려 주어라. ‘예수께서 죽음에서 살아나셔서 너희보다 먼저 갈릴리로 가실 것이다. 너희들은 거기 가서 그분을 뵐 수 있을 것이다.’ 이것이 내가 그대들에게 전하는 말이다.” 8여자들은 무서워 떨면서도 기뻐하였다. 그들은 제자들에게 이 소식을 알리려고 서둘러 무덤을 떠났다. 9여자들이 제자들에게로 달려가고 있는데 갑자기 예수께서 그들 앞에 서 계셨다. 예수께서 “안녕들 한가?” 하고 말씀하셨다. 여자들은 예수께 다가가 예수의 발을 붙들고 엎드려 절하였다. 10그러자 예수께서 말씀하셨다. “두려워하지 말아라. 가서 나를 따르던 사람들*에게 갈릴리로 가라고 일러라. 그들은 거기서 나를 보게 될 것이다.”
유대인 지도자들에게 예수의 부활을 알리다 11여자들이 제자들에게 알리려고 그 자리를 떠났다. 바로 그때 예수의 무덤을 지키던 군인들 몇이 성 안으로 들어가, 그 동안에 있었던 일들을 대제사장들에게 모두 알렸다. 12그러자 대제사장들은 장로들을 만나 이 일에 대해 의논하였다. 그들은 군인들에게 돈을 많이 주어서 거짓말을 하게 하였다. 13그들은 군인들에게 말하였다. “예수의 제자들이 밤중에 무덤에 와서, 너희들이 자고 있는 동안 예수의 주검을 훔쳐 갔다고 사람들에게 말하여라. 14이 말이 총독의 귀에 들어가더라도, 우리가 말을 잘해서 너희에게 해가 미치지 않게 해 주겠다.” 15군인들은 그 돈을 받고 제사장들이 시키는 대로 하였다. 지금까지도 유대 사람들 사이에 이 이야기가 그대로 전해 내려오고 있다.
예수께서 제자들에게 말씀하시다 (막16:14-18; 눅 24:36-49; 요20:19-23; 행 1:6-8) 16열한 제자가 갈릴리로 가서 예수께서 일러 주신 산으로 갔다. 17제자들은 그 산에서 예수를 뵙고 엎드려 절하였다. 그러나 그분이 정말 예수라는 것을 믿지 못하는 제자들도 있었다. 18예수께서 그들에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “하늘과 땅의 모든 권세가 내게 주어졌다. 19그러니 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼고, 아버지와 아들과 성령*의 이름으로 세례*를 주어라. 20그리고 내가 너희에게 명한 모든 것에 순종하도록 사람들을 가르쳐라. 나는 세상이 끝나는 날까지 언제나 너희와 함께 있겠다.” |
